The Final Conference – Slovak and Norwegian women’s stories during World War II

Through short films produced by Post Bellum and the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies, we will introduce you to the documented stories of people who survived WWII and holocaust and their descendants. This will be followed by a discussion with the artists Marcel Mališ, Filip Sabol and Matúš Maťátko, whose works also reflect the current political and social situation. The discussion will be led by Sandra Polovková, director of Post Bellum, and in addition to the artists, last but not least, will also discuss – Bohunka Koklesová, director of VŠVU.

Slovak: Alica Weiszfeiler (survivor of the Ravensbrück and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps)
Norwegian: Nina F. Grünfeld (Norwegian film director, whose grandmother lived most of her life in today’s Slovakia)
